Thin Lips & Lip Lines

Thin lips are usually something that we are born with, but they may also be a natural result of the ageing process and affect both men and women.

As we get older, the thin skin on our lips is particularly vulnerable to ageing as our collagen breaks down faster than we can produce it. On top of this, the muscles around our mouth area also weaken, causing wrinkles around the mouth area, commonly known as Lipstick or Smoker’s Lines. These lines tend to appear between the ages of 30 and 40.

Whether you were born with them or got them later in life, there are treatments to make your lips fuller and plumper by restoring lost volume to create the perfect lip and smooth out the fine wrinkles.

They are often caused by smoking, hence the name, but can also be a natural result of ageing, sun damage or even having ill-fitting dental structures.

Lipstick Lines or Smoker’s Lines are very fine wrinkles and are more pronounced above the upper lip while some might be around the edge of the lips (marionette lines) or along the lower jaw. As the wrinkles are concentrated around the mouth the visibility is enhanced every time the mouth is moved, even when the movement is minimal.

Both thin lips and fine lines around the mouth have the tendency of making the patient look tired and sad and age women significantly.

At Hunar Clinic we recommend treating thin lips, fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth with dermal fillers, which have been proven to achieve excellent results for many people by enhancing the lips natural shape, creating a fuller look and smoothing out wrinkles.

During your initial consultation, Dr Mittal will discuss a personalised treatment plan that follows a subtle approach in keeping with your looks, age and goals. For example, achieving fuller-looking lips in your 30s or smoothing fine lines in your 50s.

If you would like fuller lips, iron-out the wrinkles around your mouth and feel less self-conscious get in touch for a consultation.
