Ageing Hands
Treat thinner hands and loss of volume with dermal filler injections restoring volume, rehydrating and plumping out the skin to hide any veiny and bony prominences

Next to your face, the skin on your hands is the most exposed part of your body. Hard to protect, your hands are frequently exposed to a wide range of abuse on a daily basis along with your genes and gravity as we age.. From the sun to the cold, cleaning detergents and washing up, the delicate skin on our hands is certainly put through its paces.
Typically, the first signs of ageing hands start in the 40s, and 50s with the appearance of age spots also referred to as liver or sunspots. These are flat areas of dark pigmentation that often appear on the face, chest, arms, shoulder, and hands – in other words, those areas most exposed to the sun. They are caused by the production of excess melanin in the skin as a direct result of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Those patients in their 50s and 60s, the skin will become thinner, and you will notice a loss of volume and fat causing the underlying bones, tendons, and veins to become more prominent. In women, depleting oestrogen levels resulting from menopause will cause the skin to be less plump and fleshy, making them far more vulnerable to the ageing process.
There are non-invasive hand rejuvenation treatments that will help to restore volume, rehydrate and plump out the skin to hide the veiny and bony prominences and the result will be very natural looking.

*Patients experiences will vary dependent on age, lifestyle and medical history
Many of our patients at the Hunar Clinic have found the procedure more comfortable than expected and you may experience slight redness or minor bruising around the treatment areas after having an injection.
There may be some swelling and bruising present so the patient may need up to 14 days for the filler to fully integrate within the skin’s tissues and give the final more natural appearance.
Dermal fillers can last between 15 and 24 months and you will need to return for top-up treatments depending on how long it lasts for you, as all patients vary.
