Chin Fillers
An undefined chin can have a big impact on the overall appearance of your face but a non-surgical chin filler is a great alternative for a temporary fix.

If your chin is out of proportion, then it can throw out the balance of the rest of your natural features. A recessed chin may not provide enough structure to create a visual distinction between the face and the neck and a small chin can make the nose appear larger. A well-defined chin creates a balance between the nose, neck and cheeks. In some patients it can cause the upper lip to protrude and often the neck and the chin become one. This can cause a patient to be self conscious and in turn lead to a lack of self confidence.
Undefined chins are often genetic but in some cases can be the result of ageing or an accident during your lifetime. These changes occur in both men and women but women experience a greater bone loss particularly after menopause and so the face shape changes are greater with the lower face shrinking and the mid face getting heavier, which can make the skin appear sunken, loose and/or sagging as the soft tissue is no longer being supported by the jaw.

*Patients experiences will vary dependent on age, lifestyle and medical history
Results can be seem immediately after treatment but there may be some swelling and bruising present so the patient may need up to 14 days for the dermal filler to fully integrate within the skin’s tissues and give a the final more natural appearance.
Dermal chin fillers can last between 15 and 24 months and you will need to return for top-up treatments depending on how long it lasts for you, as all patients vary.
Most patients do not suffer from too much discomfort after chin fillers as you may experience some swelling and redness, often associated with having an injection, Dr Prerna Mittal advises that you do not undertake strenuous exercise for a least a day, avoid applying make-up and do not touch your face during this time.
Dr Prerna Mittal will discuss the options with you at your consultation as treatments vary according to the patient, the number of procedures you are having, the brand and how much is required.

What Our Clients Say
Sympathetic and sensitive
I found Dr Prerna Mittal to be extremely sympathetic and sensitive to my cosmetic treatment needs. Dr Mittal worked like an artist on the lines around my mouth and chin and nothing felt rushed. Her manner is both polished and professional and I have no hesitation in recommending her for anti-wrinkle injectables and derma filler treatment. – Hilary Hunter
