Dermal fillers are an ideal way to turn back time and restore the contours of your face. Dermal fillers, (also known as wrinkle fillers or facial fillers) work by replacing volume in cheekbones, plumping lips, filling in the lines between nose & mouth and help you achieve a youthful natural look.

They are a great treatment for:

  • Cheek augmentation
  • Jawline definition or jowls
  • Lip enhancement
  • Nose reshaping
  • Deep lines & wrinkles
  • Hollow areas such as temples & bags under eyes
  • Face contouring
  • Acne scars
  • Unevenness in the skin after surgery or skin grafting

Benefits of dermal fillers

The treatment is non-invasive with virtually no recovery time and patients can resume to normal activities immediately after treatment. Dermal fillers are only performed by a fully trained medical professional.

Further benefits are:

  • Dermal fillers are not permanent and will naturally break down.
  • They require no test prior to treatment
  • They give a more youthful appearance.
  • They can be used to fill minor to moderate lines and fill-in wrinkles and is especially effective around the eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • They can be tailored to your needs providing a natural look

How long do treatments take?

It will depend on the number of areas targeted, however generally, each administration takes around 15 minutes. It can be up to 30 minutes on rare occasions, plus any time to discuss what you are hoping to achieve during the non-surgical treatment.

At the Hunar Clinic, we mark the face prior to treatment to ensure that we correctly administer the product into the areas agreed during the consultation.

In some cases, best results can be achieved through a combination of treatments. For instance, dermal fillers can add lift and re-contour the face and muscle relaxants can help smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

At the Hunar Clinic, we use leading new generation dermal fillers which offer less downtime due to less swelling, smoother results and are longer lasting.

  • Juvederm Vycross range Volbella – lip filler
  • Volift – nose to mouth and corner of the mouth lines
  • Voluma – cheek and jawline augmentation.
  • Ellanse is our most popular revolutionary filler designed to last 2-3 years boosting your own collagen formation. Used mainly for cheeks and jaw-line.
  • Belotero
  • Radiesse

Once the treatment is complete, you can leave the clinic straight away, with no downtime.

Injecting dermal fillers is minimally invasive and most people will be able to get on with their regular day. There might be some swelling, this is fairly common and will subside quickly.

It’s also advised, to avoid strenuous exercise and excessive exposure to the sun following your treatment. Some dermal filler aftercare instructions recommend avoiding the use of makeup straight after treatment, but you can ask our practitioner about this if you want to be able to use makeup straight away to cover any redness.

We also recommend avoiding rubbing or touching the areas of injection, especially if you’re experiencing a bit of swelling. Bruising is pretty uncommon but it can occur.

There are certain skincare products which can help prolong the effects of your dermal fillers; you can ask our practitioners for some recommendations for the best ones.
